Additional Information

Manufacturer Notes:
CATERPILLAR serial numbers are based on a three digit prefix followed by a five digit serial number. To correctly identify the model year, please include zeros when entering the serial number. Example: 26Y00308 Results of searches on Caterpillar equipment that are not based on a specific serial number, result in broad ranges of serial numbers for a prefix and year. These ranges represent only the lowest and highest serial numbers for a given year for Caterpillar equipment. Because the serial numbers are not assigned sequentially, and there is overlap in serials and years, there is no accurate way to identify a specific model year using ranges. For accurate identification of the year, enter the specific serial number in the serial number window. Note: Serial numbers beginning with 75 following the three digit prefix indicate Caterpillar Certified Rebuilds. Example: 9TC75734
